Scott Gosse

Director & Chief Psychologist
Scott Gosse is the Director and Chief Psychologist at Mills | Gosse Psychology. As a Registered Clinical Psychologist licensed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), Scott brings over 15 years of clinical practice experience to his role. He holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois.
Scott has extensive experience working with diverse clinical populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, across various settings such as clinical, counselling, medical-legal, and rehabilitation environments. He specializes in psycho-educational assessments for children and adolescents, as well as comprehensive developmental and personality assessments for a broad range of clinical needs.
Based at our head office in Ajax, Ontario, Scott serves clients throughout Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In addition to his direct clinical work, he dedicates significant time to training clinicians and providing clinical consultation and supervision.
Jon Mills

Dr. Jon Mills, the esteemed founder of Mills | Gosse Psychology, is now retired from clinical practice. He holds distinguished positions as Faculty in the Postgraduate Programs in Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy at the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology, Adelphi University, USA; as an International Member of the Comparative Psychoanalysis Research Group at the Department of Psychosocial & Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, UK; and as Emeritus Professor of Psychology & Psychoanalysis at the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto.
As an internationally recognized scholar and respected teacher, Dr. Mills remains actively engaged in writing and lecturing around the world. His expertise and contributions to psychology and psychoanalysis are highly regarded, and his extensive experience and knowledge have earned him prestigious roles in leading academic institutions.

Sabrina McHugh-Thomas

Psychologist
Sabrina McHugh-Thomas is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
Sabrina offers treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a wide range of concerns, such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. She is also a clinical supervisor specializing in psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents experiencing learning, attention, behavioural, and socioemotional challenges, along with adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments. Additionally, Sabrina provides psychological assessments for youth and adults, including Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) clients and first responders.
Tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs, Sabrina employs various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. Her goal in therapy is to create an environment where clients feel safe, valued and empowered on their journey toward healing. Cindy Manohararaj

Psychotherapist
Cindy Manohararaj is a Registered Psychotherapist with a focus on treating adolescents and adults. She is licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She holds a Master of Divinity Counselling degree from Tyndale University.
Cindy brings extensive experience in addressing a wide range of issues, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), relational difficulties, self-esteem challenges, boundary issues, and pain management. She also provides support for clients who have experienced Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and works with injured workers and first responders with Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, addressing concerns such as driving anxiety, trauma, and grief.
Her diverse background includes serving as a volunteer counsellor at the Salvation Army Family and Community Services in Oshawa and as a volunteer and trainer at The Distress Centre Suicide Helpline. Cindy is proficient in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems.

Simran Narula

Psychotherapist
Simran Narula is a Registered Psychotherapist dedicated to providing compassionate care to adults, children, teens, and their families. She holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counselling degree from Medaille College and has received extensive training in multimodal approaches to psychotherapy. Additionally, Simran holds a specialty certification in play therapy from the Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapy (CACPT).
Simran’s therapeutic work is centered on addressing trauma and posttraumatic experiences across all ages, in addition to a broad range of other clinical concerns. She also conducts psychological assessments and treatment for post Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) clients, as well as psychoeducational testing and assessments for students.

Janna Comrie

Janna Comrie is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She also pursued doctoral studies in Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Sciences at York University in Toronto.
Janna specializes in treating youth, adults, couples, and families facing a range of challenges, including communication issues, boundaries, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual issues, addictions, sleep problems, and eating disorders. With over 15 years of experience, she has a particular focus on trauma-related symptoms, serving first responders, frontline community workers, and diverse communities.
Janna emphasizes the connection between emotional, physiological, and cognitive experiences, guiding clients toward integrated solutions. Her approach incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation. Her background in research and deep interest in brain science shape her unique therapeutic style.

Diane Wolf

Diane Wolf is a highly experienced Registered Psychotherapist, dynamic speaker, accomplished writer, and passionate educator. Licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), Diane holds a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling degree from Tyndale University in Toronto, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Her academic journey began with neurophysiological psychology, culminating in an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. Following her MBA and a teaching career, Diane’s profound interest in neuroscience led her back to psychology, where she earned a second Master’s in Clinical Counselling.
Today, Diane specializes in treating first responders dealing with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression, and provides services for injured workers with Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims. She has additional training in trauma work and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Diane brings a warm and empathetic approach to her work, dedicated to helping individuals experience growth after traumatic events.

Esther Webster

Esther Webster is a Registered Psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). With over 15 years of experience, Esther brings a warm embrace of empathy, genuine compassion, and unwavering hope to her practice.
Her approach is marked by collaboration, a focus on strengths, and a deep commitment to placing clients at the center of their journey. Esther specializes in supporting individuals through challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She believes that therapy is a powerful catalyst for overcoming stagnation and fostering growth.

Sheeba Narikuzhy

Psychotherapist
Sheeba Narikuzhy is a seasoned Registered Psychotherapist and Certified First Responder Counsellor with over two decades of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Calicut, India, and a Master of Psychology degree from the University of Annamalai, India.
Sheeba began her career in Toronto as an individual and family therapist at East Metro Youth Services, later transitioning to managerial roles at EMYS and Youthdale Treatment Centers. Her extensive background includes active involvement in suicide prevention and mental health services with organizations such as the Mental Health Commission of Canada and the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention. Currently, she is engaged in the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) research projects focused on culturally adapting Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for East and South Asian populations.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in strength-based, trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally sensitive methods. Sheeba tailors her approach to each individual's unique needs and circumstances, believing in their inherent capabilities. By collaborating with clients, she helps them tap into their inner strengths, fostering hope and achieving their goals. She emphasizes building and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship throughout the process. Sheeba addresses a wide range of mental health challenges, including generalized anxiety disorder, phobias, panic disorder, depression, suicidality, borderline personality disorder, trauma, eating disorders, school/work-related issues, and relational challenges, treating children, teens, and adults. Shawna MacKellar

Shawna MacKellar is a psychometrist and clinical assessor specializing in working with children, adolescents, and adults. She holds a Master of Education degree from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
Shawna has over 20 years of experience in assessment from her work in school boards, clinics, and hospital settings in both Canada and the United States. She focuses on conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to explore possible learning and intellectual disabilities, giftedness, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, and mood-related difficulties such as anxiety and depression in children and youth. Her goal is to identify evidence-based assessment outcomes and pair them with evidence-based interventions and recommendations to help children achieve as much success as possible.
As a seasoned professional and a warm, supportive advocate, Shawna helps families navigate the path toward a brighter and more empowered future. Sam Al-Dabbagh

Sam Al-Dabbagh holds a Master of Arts in Developmental Psychology degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Science in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Guelph. As a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Sam brings over 12 years of clinical experience, providing support to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges.
In addition to his psychotherapy practice, Sam is a psychometrist and psychological assessor. He specializes in a wide range of psychological testing, including psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. His focus includes identifying learning and intellectual disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), behavioural issues, and mood disorders. Sam also conducts adult ADHD assessments and pre-service psychological evaluations for public protection and first responder personnel.

Stacy Yong

Stacy Yong holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). With over 20 years of clinical experience, Stacy specializes in psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families, including work with Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) and Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) clients.
Her extensive tenure at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) honed her skills in both individual and group therapy, equipping her to guide clients through various life challenges. Stacy embraces a holistic approach, considering emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being in her work.

Dave te Sligte

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Dave te Sligte holds a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling degree from Tyndale University in Toronto. He is licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), as a qualifying member. He has worked extensively in addiction treatment centres, providing holistic healing from addictions, with a focus on the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of the person. He has also worked with concurrent addiction and trauma experienced by active military, veterans and now works widely with first responders and Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) clients, including police, fire and corrections officers. Additionally, he treats youth and has a focus on Men’s Issues, Trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
The focus of his treatment approach pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and is designed to address aspects of trauma response that keep clients “stuck” reliving trauma. He has experience providing one-on-one therapy, as well as leading psycho-education groups such as the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills and recovery models to encourage clients to better understand their struggles and plan their recovery. Much of his work is based on mindful awareness of self, emotional regulation and relapse prevention strategies. Marcus Kupila

Marcus Kupila is a Registered Psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), and a graduate of the University of Toronto | OISE. He specializes in working with trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), first responders, and public protection personnel, known for his empathetic and research-based approach using structured and flexible methodologies.
With extensive clinical training at the OISE Psychology Clinic and four years of specialized crisis management experience at The Distress Centre, Marcus excels in supporting individuals facing suicidal ideation and self-harm. He works with adults, late adolescents, and couples, providing a safe space for those who feel lost or overwhelmed and seeking to understand their experiences better. Marcus empowers clients by recognizing them as the true experts in their lives, allowing them to set their therapeutic goals while providing guidance when a client is unsure where to start. Robin Dhaliwal is a Registered Psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master of Science degree from Niagara University and employs a culturally sensitive and eclectic approach in her practice.
Robin assists individuals, families, and couples in recognizing their strengths to overcome life’s challenges. Navigating these challenges can be daunting, but taking that first step toward therapy brings tremendous relief. Robin provides a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for her clients.

Hatty Wong

Psychotherapist
Hatty Wong is a Registered Psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has worked with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, Royal Ottawa Mental Health, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Hatty has worked extensively in provincial correctional facilities and has conducted research at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto, offering a wealth of expertise in working with vulnerable populations.
Hatty's leadership and initiative are evident in her various roles and volunteering activities. She provides support for individuals feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or depression. As a BIPOC Psychotherapist, Hatty is dedicated to working with people from diverse backgrounds, including those from the LGBTQ+ community and marginalized groups, serving children, adolescents and adults.
Hatty also works with injured workers and first responders with the WSIB. Hatty approaches her work flexibly, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other therapy techniques. Recognizing that reaching out for therapy is a courageous step, she emphasizes the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship.

Brittney Taylor

Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Brittney Taylor, a Registered Social Worker based in Durham Region, specializes in treating adolescents and adults. She is a registered member of both the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Brittney earned her Master of Social Work degree from Wilfred Laurier University and focuses on helping individuals navigate various relationship and psychological challenges, including depression, anxiety, separation and divorce, relationship issues, life transitions, intimate partner abuse, stress, communication difficulties, and boundary setting. Dana Stoiku is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She offers therapeutic support to both adolescents and adults, specializing in areas such as anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, and relationship challenges. Dana also holds additional certification in victimology and violence against women, enhancing her ability to address complex issues.
Skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dana provides a supportive and collaborative treatment experience. She is dedicated to working with clients to develop personalized coping strategies and skills tailored to their unique needs.
