About Psychological & Diagnostic Assessment & Testing
Mills | Gosse Psychology offers a wide range of psychological assessment services. While a formal diagnostic assessment may not be required to initiate psychological treatment, we understand that some clients wish to know whether they have any psychological diagnoses and would like to undergo a thorough evaluation. Our psychological assessments typically involve in-depth psychological interviewing, and we also perform comprehensive psychological testing specifically tailored to your symptoms and concerns. We utilize the latest assessment measures available, and our testing protocols and reports meet all current professional standards. Some common concerns that may require assessment include:
Depression, Bi-Polar and other Mood Disorders.
Anxiety, Phobias, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Personality Concerns, such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
Attachment Concerns, including early Abuse or Neglect.
Psychological assessment services may be conducted by qualified assessors, under supervision, and may not be performed by a psychologist directly. While this is a very common and widely accepted practice, some insurance plans do not cover such services. Therefore you must inquire with your insurance provider to determine coverage.

Once the report is complete, we will contact you to schedule a feedback session to discuss the report in detail and address any questions or concerns you may have.
Please note that we cannot guarantee you will receive a diagnosis following this assessment. This will depend on the clinical opinion of the assessors and the availability of sufficient clinical data for a diagnosis, including the availability of relevant past medical information, other reports, or information from observers. All parties must acknowledge that booking such an assessment will not necessarily result in the desired diagnosis. We always endeavour to conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments; however, in some cases, it may not be possible to make definitive diagnostic conclusions if sufficient data is unavailable.
Please note that any specific forms that you wish to have completed should be provided to the assessors at the outset of the evaluation, whenever possible.
